Fortnightly update 86
27.03.2023 to 09.04.2023
My journey as a copywriter and fiction writer.
This fortnight, I did a bunch of free website reviews, updated my website, started two new copywriting projects, and turned 30.
Copywriting
In my last post, I mentioned how I was getting a lot of requests for free website reviews. This fortnight, I smashed all of those out, bringing me to a total of 12 website reviews.
I leant sooo much, and the feedback I got was fantastic, with a few people imploring me to make this a paid service. So that’s what I’ve done.
If you wanna learn more about my website reviews, check out this page.
I reckon this site was the most fun to review:
I also, finally, updated most of the rest of my website so it looks like my home page. I’ve yet to update my blog, though, so I’ll get onto that soon. The process is neverending, really. I feel like I’m revamping the bloody thing every second day.
The other big news is that I started two decently sized copywriting projects this fortnight, so there really is no time to tinker with my website. It’s copywriting time.
More on those projects soon.
Fiction
As you may know, I’ve slowed right down on my fiction. Honestly, all I’m really doing towards that end at the moment is reading stories for Etherea Magazine.
I’m almost certain I’ll return to fiction writing when I get on top of my business, but for now, I’m pretty damn focused on making this whole copywriting thing take off to the moon.
Thoughts
I also turned 30 this fortnight, on the 6th of April, and I’ve pretty much been celebrating since the 5th.
Drinks with friends, video games, family dinners, daytime strolls around Freo, a few MTG-related purchases, a lovely night at the cinemas — these are just a few of the things I’ve been up to these past several days.
I’m stoked with where I’m at coming into my 30s. My head’s in the right place, I’m physically healthy, my business is growing, I’ve got a wonderful network of friends and family, and I’m living in a neat little apartment in one of the coolest cities in the world.
Happiest days I can remember.
Thanks for reading 🖤
